Estampes glorifiant les programmes gouvernementaux du président Mao Tsé-toung en Chine. Prints glorifying the government programs of Chairman Mao Tse-tung in China.
Chaque estampe illustre un thème de la vie chinoise en 1952. Les estampes sont légendées en chinois, anglais et russe. Le nom de chaque artiste est imprimé en chinois et occidental en bas à droite. On trouve dans l'ordre de 1 à 10 les sujets d'estampe suivants : Greetings to delegate returning from people's conference - Miao People welcoming people's liberation army - Ready to submit a production report to chairman Mao Tse-tung - Another land reform benefit : a newly obtained ox - Return of labor hero greeted - Woman tractor operator - Signing for world peace - Beating the paper tiger - Registration of a marriage by free choice - Women's mutual aid team.
La technique utilisée pour ces estampes est la lithographie en couleurs (nombreux passages) d'après des bois gravés et des dessins. Le papier de Chine très fin laisse apparaître les couleurs au verso.
